Class Collaborate is Now Class for Web

It has been two years since we announced the coming together of Blackboard Collaborate and Class Technologies. From the start, Collaborate fit seamlessly into our vision. Today, we are proud to continue the support of Collaborate without exceptions, and will be updating the name of the product to better fit within our suite of virtual classroom products.

Going forward, Collaborate will be referred to as “Class for Web”, in alignment with our Class for Zoom and Class for Microsoft Teams product suite. This means we will continue to serve institutions in the delivery of exceptional virtual learning experiences no matter what video conferencing platform they choose to standardize on.

Despite the name change, users of Class for Web (formerly Collaborate) can rest assured that it’s business as usual. We will continue to support all three software products going forward.

The great thing about Class for Web (formerly Collaborate) is that it gives you all the baseline features to teach online. It also integrates great with Blackboard Learn and is used by millions around the world as their virtual classroom.

We will be making a number of small changes to the Class support site, and class.com/collaborate, to reflect this name change. If you have any questions, please reach out to your account manager directly.
