As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on a special year for Class and the community we’re fortunate to serve. Our mission to transform the way the world learns continues to drive everything we do, and this year, we’ve made big strides toward creating more engaging, impactful, and accessible learning experiences for educators, trainers, and learners worldwide.

We celebrated a number of 2024 achievements

This year, Class achieved significant milestones that reaffirm our commitment to innovation and customer success.

  • In collaboration with Microsoft, we introduced Class for Microsoft Teams, built on the Teams platform and seamlessly integrated with Microsoft 365. This unique set of capabilities and analytics transforms the virtual learning experience on Microsoft Teams, bringing robust engagement and collaboration tools to institutions and organizations alike. The announcement expanded Class’s reach, offering customers more options to enhance their virtual learning and training efforts, regardless of their chosen video conferencing platform.
  • With the release of our next generation web experience—a web-first platform—we retired the desktop versions of Class to focus exclusively on delivering a consistent, accessible, and scalable experience, easily accessible on the web. This shift has accelerated innovation and ensured users can engage seamlessly across locations and devices.
  • Research was published that provided tangible evidence that Class has a positive impact on learner engagement, as measured by improved cognitive engagement (+32%), more confidence in the material learned (+46%), and greater connection to their instructor (+9%) than traditional video conferencing.
  • We launched Class Interactive Playback, turning passive recordings into dynamic, interactive learning sessions. With Interactive Playback, learners can interact with recorded sessions and the content and assessments in them as if they were happening live. This has been a game-changer, empowering learners to engage with course content at their convenience while preserving many benefits of live participation.
  • As a proud member of 1EdTech and with our LTI 1.3 certification, we advanced our mission to support open, interoperable digital ecosystems. These efforts simplify workflows, improve security, and enhance collaboration across platforms.
  • We were honored to receive global recognition, including being named a Top 10 EdTech company by TIME and a HolonIQ Top 200 North America EdTech company. These accolades underscore our commitment to excellence and innovation.

We saw great customer and adoption success in 2024

This year was a huge year for Class usage, with over 10 BILLION MINUTES of instruction on Class across all of our platforms. This is a big increase over last year, and we did so while also releasing over 50 new product features and innovations.

We’ve also celebrated incredible customer successes this year, which illustrate the transformative impact of our solutions. Rogers Behavioral Health collaborated with Class to revolutionize telehealth and online group therapy. “Our consumers need a system of mental health care that is responsive, accessible, and flexible, meeting them where they are at a specific point of need in their lives,” explains Cindy Meyer, president and CEO of Rogers Behavioral Health.

Miami Dade College (MDC) also leveraged Class to deliver a better online experience for its diverse student body. As the largest undergraduate institution in the country, Miami Dade needed a solution to meet the complex needs of its students and faculty. By integrating Class with Instructure, MDC's selected LMS, the college achieved a seamless and engaging virtual learning environment. Miguel Suarez, Senior LMS Support Analyst at MDC, shares, “What I like most about Class is that it’s more student-focused and student-centered than any of the other web conferencing tools that I’ve seen integrated in other learning management systems.”

Lufthansa Technical Training chose Class to enhance their virtual training programs. Panagiotis Poligenis, Head of Portfolio and Innovation, emphasized, “Class is a platform that facilitates the preparation process of our instructors and provides better collaboration opportunities with the trainees. The integration of Class with our LMS, the ability to set up quizzes, and the ease of sharing training material with trainees, to name a few, are adding significant value to our online training.” This partnership has enabled Lufthansa Technical Training to improve trainee engagement while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards.

Meanwhile, Volvo turned to Class to replicate the in-person training experience online for their dispersed workforce. "What I love with Class is that you can bring in activities that we normally do in in-person,” said Zana Abdullai, Learning Designer and Developer at Volvo Trucks. “You can set the activities up as stand-alone and then have the participants come back and use them when it’s the right time. To bring that dynamic of hands-on learning has been a challenge in the past, but with Class, it’s better."

We expanded a learner-centric vision with our partners

Our partnerships have also grown significantly. New integrations in 2024—including Docebo, Cornerstone OnDemand, and Instructure—have allowed us to offer more seamless, impactful experiences across learning and development ecosystems.

As we look ahead, we are committed to strengthening our partner ecosystem. Collaboration is the foundation of our approach, and we know that by working together, we can address the evolving needs of learners and organizations in a way that no single entity can achieve alone. With every new partnership, we’re reinforcing our shared vision for a learner-centric future—one where innovation, inclusivity, and impact guide every step forward.

Looking ahead to 2025

As we step into 2025, our vision remains clear: to push the boundaries of what’s possible in virtual learning and development. We will continue to prioritize our customers’ success, leveraging their feedback to guide our innovation. Together with our partners, we’re excited to explore new opportunities to drive meaningful change in the way the world learns.

To our customers, partners, and the incredible team at Class—thank you. Your trust, collaboration, and hard work inspire us every day. Here’s to another year of growth, innovation, and impact.

Let’s get back to Class and make 2025 our best year together yet.
